Knowing how to give appropriate community referrals is a crucial component to working with people in need. It reduces the confusion, frustration and unnecessary delay people often face in reaching services. Community, social and health organizations will receive appropriate referrals, reducing the time spent re-directing calls. This workshop will cover the basic ABC's to giving Information and Referrals. Topics will include making good referrals, how to find the Information you need and what are the common community referrals in Edmonton. There will also be some skill building exercises.
