Make a real difference in our community!
Studies have shown that youth do not utilize distress phone lines as readily as adults. With the anonymity of being on-line, our chat room and moderated forums cater to youths' needs. Without our highly-skilled and caring volunteers, we would not be able to support youth who are reaching out in a way that they feel comfortable. Experienced Distress Line volunteers have the opportunity to work both on the phone lines and on the Youth One Crisis Support team. Intake and training is through the Distress Line Volunteer Program.
