How We Select Our Board

To make it onto the board, prospective members have to apply by submitting a resume and undergoing an interview carried out by our ED and recruiting subcommittee.

The subcommittee will frequently review the makeup of the board so they know what new additions will make the best fit and round out the experience of the members. Often they’re looking for someone with a high level of fund development expertise, some legal expertise, and a number of other criteria that will help our programs flourish.

Our board members are always encouraged to bring forth member recommendations. Recruitment and selection are discussed with the rest of the board, but ultimately the decision remains with the ED and subcommittee.
